I remember when I first started school back in the 90’s, it wasn’t a great start. Those first-day of school experience that frightened almost every kid in the class was a nightmare to the teachers and the first day was always filled with screams and tears by the toddlers. That was 14 years ago but the tradition still continues. Now I’m facing the Uni life, one final step before I become totally independent and start earning money, but this final step isn’t easy. If you think O levels is already a bugger to you, then let’s face it, don’t enter Uni. Assignments, lectures, presentations and constant research work will now be a daily routine and surprisingly, the library will be a heaven to me soon as buying books itself is costly. But this is life, nothing comes in easy and cheap. Well some people might be lucky but we normal people have to face the ‘one-step-at-a-time journey of life.’ Hence, I wonder how struggling are those people back then during the typewriter age when such thing like Internet research was not that popular yet. Imagine flipping through a thousand page book just to look for an explanation of a particular research. I’m thankful I entered Uni at this age, of which everything is just of a click of a button.
