HELLO Pehin’s & Datin’s. It’s just another way for saying “ladies & gentlemen” but in a snobbish way. I’m back from my holidays and it has been a long dreadful week that I almost forgot that I have a blog to maintain. Anyway, I’ve been parking my car at Mallya’s for the past week ever since the tent was erected at my place for the daily tahlil’s. My aunt passed away, Al-Fatihah. The thing about parking my car at Mallya’s is that each time I wanna go somewhere, I have to walk up a hundred big steps just to start the ignition where it used to be right in front of the doorstep. I think I’m adapting to the true Bruneian style where everything has to be right in front of you where you rather drive around in circles ten times just to find a spot that’s a step-away from the entrance. No wonder there’s a lot of fatties around. Workload is another asshole. I have 3 essays, a presentation and few tests coming up in less than 10 days. They’re like loan sharks gangster but they won’t kill you, they’ll just stop you from graduating with a degree. I can’t fake my essay cause anything odd in my essay must have a reference at the end of the sentence and also a full end of text reference after I’m done with my essay. Gone are the days where you could write shits on your essay. Imagine submitting an essay with the title “myself”. Unless you’re some football star, Mr. Trump’s associates or you’ve just landed from Hollywood, and then you’ll be able to complete a 1500 words essay about yourself validly! It’s because you’ll have sources to put in to prove that you’re not talking shit about yourself. Let’s take one line, “my latest achievement was to be awarded with an Emmy on the previous 58th Emmy Award Show for my outstanding achievement in the industry. I even knocked out Masi Oka of Heroes for the record.” (E! entertainment, 2006). Now that’s a sucker and a loser talking. Back to reality, why is it that, when as soon as there’s an assignment given out, the books relating to the assignment topic will be wiped out an hour later from the library. Some even took 5-7 books along with them and left the desperate one’s suffering for sources. Be considerate people! Lucky for me I managed to borrow a copy of one of the golden books that everyone’s been hunting for, and I’m renting it for $35 an hour. Desperate measures, money is not a matter. Lastly, to all the families and relatives of Pg Hashim bin Pg Ahmad & Raden Mas Siti Hasanah bte Raden Mas Hanafi, it was great meeting up with you all at the gathering and also giving me the opportunity to acknowledge my long lost cousins.
