It’s been almost a week since I’ve set foot in the United Kingdom and so far everything’s alright except for the weather. It’s freezing here by the day and temperature is about 0 degrees. I’m still familiarizing myself with the routes here and what’s bugging is that most of the building looks the same and getting lost on finding my way back home is a sure thing for me. The Brunei Winter Games was held yesterday at Westway, London, having a netball and football 5 aside tournament. It’s a great chance to meet everybody at one place at the same time as Bruneians throughout UK came down for the event that started at 9am and ended at about 7pm on a cold cold freezing day. The kampong boys came down to play the footie tourney and although they didn’t make it to the finals, they’ve played well. Kampong boys is a name given to the guys back in highschool years. Right after the tournament, tried to dine at Nandos but it was packed and we had to wait for a chilly half an hour to get a table, and we went to the opposite diner instead. Off we went to Leicester after that, strolling around the area and enjoyed the rest of the night. Anyway, that was last night, now less than 6 hours later, I’m at Kent blogging away this post. It took me an hour and a half to reach Kent from London via train, accompanying Wanie to get her stuff to be brought to London. Liyana booked me a ticket to Newcastle on the 18th and I guess I’ll be going there to meet the Newcastle-ians and will be there for about 5 days I think. Newcastle, a 3 hour journey by rail and a 7 hour journey by coach, but the latter is cheaper and I’ll take that option. I don’t mind the lengthy hours as my journey from Brunei-Dubai and Dubai-London took me 8 hours each and yeah I’ll be fine with the 7 hours coach ride. Alright then, sorry for the short update, I’m in a rush! Will post some pictures below and more pictures of the Brunei Winter Games will be posted up soon after I receive the pictures from Nawi’s camera, that’ll be during my stay at Newcastle next week. Till then, have a great day everyone!
