I would like to respond to “danielz” on his post of analyzing my previous blog post concerning having identical outfits. Firstly, you highlighted that our primary/secondary socialization is to be blamed. Do you personally think that everyone is brought up the same way? Primary socialization molds out to what we are now and personally speaking, I don’t think it has anything to do with wearing the same t-shirt as anyone else. Secondly, you’re trying to say that mixing of cultures is bad. I’ll disagree on that, perhaps mixing other cultures with one’s would broaden up your knowledge. It’s your own mind that’s saying “I’m embarrassed to be seen wearing the same shirt as him/her”. Thirdly, mass media manipulating the society? What’s this about? A million copies? Well dude, if you’re trying to be unique, just find a custom outfit that’ll guarantee you no one else has them. Moving on, personally speaking, I think that your tips are totally absurd. Don’t buy clothes from Jaya Hypermat? Instead go to Hua Ho, ego, etc. You’re saying that a difference in the colour does not make it distinguishable with other shirts that has the same design? That is total crap, take a closer look again, I bet they’re the same. And lastly, so you think buying your outfits overseas is the best option? Haha do note that they sometimes sell multiple copies of tshirts. Unless you’re customizing your outfit somewhere in Bond Street, that I can assure you you’ll be the only one having that outfit. No offence to you, but please do a thorough research when analyzing someone’s piece of work. And sorry if my theories are somehow non-textbook based, I don’t have any sociology background. Till then, have a great day everyone!
