Let me share with you readers my horrifying experience towards my unexpected allergic reaction as diagnosed by my doctor after I was discharged from the hospital yesterday. It started of a few hours after I ate sliced mangoes from a popular fruit stall here. I remembered that the last time I had their fruits there was when I was a kid, and since most people were buying it from there, there's no doubt for me to query about the cleanliness of their fruits. Exactly an hour and a half after I finished off a packet of freshly sliced mangoes which I bought earlier, I started to experience these heavy dry coughs. I thought that maybe by taking a glass of water it would cool the cough down, but to my despair, the more I consume, the harder it is for me to breathe. I was literally gasping for air even though there was sufficient oxygen out there for the entire population to breathe in. At that point, all I could think of was is it my time to go now? If it was really the time, I would be sad to know that I didn't get the chance to say good bye to each and everyone, and I would regret that I neglected them that much as I didn't put much effort to have spent any quality time with them in person. Jumping out of the thought, I immediately forced myself to throw up anything I've consumed hoping that it would clear out anything that's blocking my windpipe if it were to be the cause of my inability to breathe normally. It worked and I was relieved a bit. Then, with another glass of water, the scene repeated again and I knew I had to be rushed to the emergency before anything bad happens. The journey seems like forever although it was only 15 minutes. Upon reaching the emergency ward, I was immediately treated with a dose of vaccination that would help me to breathe normally again, and another shot for other treatment that I'm not familiar with. My body was flaming red caused by the allergic reaction and having being settled on the hospital bed, I was at least relieved to know that I was in better care now. After several hours being admitted, I was finally discharged and I was in a better condition than before. I'm thankful that I'm still alive, and had I procastinated myself to go to the hospital yesterday, it would be much worse than I could imagine. The cause of this allergic reaction was due to the mangoes not being washed off properly, the latex was still present in the mangoes. This has caused a blockage of my breathing system and at the same time causing the redness on my body. Their carelessness in handling the fruits have made it lethal to some unfortunate buyers like me, and it is their responsibility that if there were any fatalities from it. But everything's fine now. Alhamdulillah for that. I would take this opportunity to thank RIPAS emergency unit for their immediate attention yesterday. I really appreciate it. Maybe this is a wake up call for me. To all my family and friends, I love you all.

Sincerely,
Nuar M.
