Swine flu is on the rise with 11 confirmed cases. I have heard multiple negative experiences of those who were being temporary quarantined after showing high body temperatures after a flight. It took them hours to be transported to the hospital for further check-up just because of the unavailability of an ambulance. That's just ridiculous, what difference does it make if they were being transported with a car? Perhaps they'll reach the hospital even faster. On another note, I noticed that local clinics have a temperature check table stationed at the main entrance but instead of checking the temperature, all they did was repeating this every two minutes: "ada keluar negeri?, kalau ada baiktah check sini". I know it's a hassle for them to be checking everyone's temperature as they are not being paid more for that, but if JPMC could individually check each and everyone's temperature regardless if there's a long line that awaits, why can't regular clinics do that as well? After all, one might just lie that they weren't from abroad, or who knows he/she might be infected locally. I didn't mean to show any criticism in this post, it's just my two cents from observing how they handled the situation.
