"I was a victim of domestic violence 20 years ago and I'm now a divorcee with 4 children. I am not medically fit to work as the aftermath of the abusive years has left me with permanent sickness, I can't lift heavy objects and I faint often during work. At the moment, only my son is staying here with me as I could not afford to take care of my other 3 children. They were sent to my relatives for food and shelter. Today, there's no rice to be served on the dinner table and as a result, I'll have to borrow it from my neighbour next door. When it rains, the water leaks into our ceiling and I really wish that help would come to fix my deteriorating house. There are also days when I'll have to borrow $10 from relatives just to have our body nourished and the debts are mounting day after day."
