The overwhelming experience of what a high paying job feels like. It made us interns think twice now of whether to pursue it as a career when we graduate, or look into other available sectors. This one of a kind program is the first of its kind being introduced by the organization. Dating back to the yesteryear, I've always dreamt on being part of this organization not knowing how absurd the pressure level is the minute you ink the contract. Nevertheless, no matter what the level of pressure is that we interns have to deal with on a daily basis, our learning process has gradually increased steadily. Being a hybrid of both classroom and the real working experience during the duration of this internship, it really did hike up my knowledge from various perspectives ranging from the power of technology up to the current global market conditions. Alhamdulillah, so far, things are going on smoothly for me and Tuesday is a nerve-wrecking day for me as together with my team, we'll have to present about the US economy. With so many views I have read upon, I simply don't know which one is telling the best truth. hahah

DEADLINE DEADLINE DEADLINE! My SPSS team has a thousand dollar deadline to meet, which is in a few days time. Alhamdulillah from my calculation, everything could be completed a day before the deadline, given that there are no magic papers that will appear miraculously that we have to key in. Also, this would be my first time being attached in two places at one time. I know I need the strength of a superman to get through this as this would mean that I'll be working night and day. That's because the contract from my current employer would only end two days after I have started working with the new organization. So I'm a superman for two days!! wohooooo hahah. I might sound like a workaholic but I'm actually not, it's just that the latter is just simply a rare opportunity being given that I would not want to miss, besides it's my dream job to be working with them :)

It's been a month and a day now since I started expanding my knowledge on poverty in Brunei through this job. On the sidelines, I have learned a lot especially in the area of human behavior rather than the scope of this research project itself. For starters, the unprofessional superiors. To differentiate the problem solving method between the office superiors and myself, I have never resorted to screaming, yelling and public humiliation as part of the learning process to my subordinates. From my point of view, their actions will only demotivate their subordinates. Too ego to accept the fact, now at the critical point when they needed extra hands the most, none are willing to give a helping hand. Everyone's too eager to see the so called superiors to screw up their own mess further. Work contract acts like a jail-free card, once the period is over, everyone is flocking out of the cramped cell breathing the fresh air of freedom! I on the other hand am still here with the firm finishing up the work being assigned to me. As much as I want to leave since my contract period is over, I still think it's not the appropriate thing to do given that I have accepted to perform this task up to the end. All this strength is from the supportive big boss of mine who has never failed to take care of my team's welfare even if the other superiors are acting like jackasses to us. Oh please reward us with a huge bonus for our effort! Tough work, mentally challenging! :)
